Smartphone & Tablet Devices

This course is designed to update your skillset for todays changing technological world with many now resorting to using their Smartphones or Tablet devices more often.  This course will introduce you to the many uses a Smart Device has and how they can work for you.

You will learn to:

• Understand your Smartphone, Tablet or iPad device.
• Learn to navigate through your settings and how each applies to your device.
• Understand terminology around devices in todays world.
• Recognise the more familiar applications (apps) for your device and how they can work for you.
• Understand network concepts and connection options and be able to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

In this course, you will also learn the digital tasks required for todays changing world.

• Create an email account.
• Send & receive an email.
• Learn to navigate your way around various online shops.
• Understand the use of search engines such as Google and how to find various information online.
• Learn various ways of staying in touch with people using many modes of online communication.
• Become familiar with Internet Safety and careful use of credit card or private information online.
